TMZ: Evelyn Lozada's Temporary Restraining Order against 'Basketball Wives' Costar OG Chijindu Denied by a Judge

A judge has reportedly denied Evelyn Lozada’s request for a temporary restraining order against her "Basketball Wives" co-star Ogom "OG" Chijindu.

According to TMZ, Evelyn filed legal documents asking for a judge to grant her a temporary restraining order against OG in light of their recent run-ins.

In a subsequent update, however, the outlet reported that the judge denied Evelyn’s request, pointing out that the matter between both women would best be resolved through the lawsuit Evelyn filed earlier.

Evelyn filed a defamation lawsuit against OG earlier this month, claiming the latter called her a racist bigot. The drama started last month after Evelyn posted a seemingly offensive cryptic note on her Instagram Story.

THE BEGINNING

"Nobody watches you harder than the people that can't stand you," the note read, but it was Evelyn’s choice of a laughing monkey sticker that seemed to tick OG off.

Before then, both women had engaged in several confrontations as was chronicled on the recently concluded season eight of the VH1 reality series.

SWIFT CLAPBACK

OG took offense with Evelyn’s now-deleted post and reposted it with the words: "Wow, so now black women are monkeys. Everyone boycott this trash box; you are disgusting."

The former football player did not mention Evelyn’s name in that post, but in another one shared on Twitter, she did.

RACIST ALLEGATIONS

Alongside a photo of her repost, OG further accused Evelyn of racist behavior towards other "Basketball Wives" cast members, Cece Gutierrez and Jackie Christie:

"And there it is. Show your true colors, you racist bigot. You called Cece ‘ling ling’ Jackie a ‘cockroach’ & now me a ‘monkey.’ May God take care of you well well, Evelyn Lozada. @vh1 not ok."

A SCARY TREND

Per Daily Mail, Evelyn also filed for intentional infliction of emotional distress, claiming that OG’s words caused her to sustain "serious financial harm through loss of income as well as serious and permanent injuries."

The outlet also noted that Evelyn indeed was dragged last year for some choice words directed at Cece, who is of Filipino descent. According to Jezebel.com, Evelyn admitted to her racially offensive statement against Cece and even issued an apology.

"I understand why many are upset by my derogatory, stereotypical reference of another woman of color—and for that, I’m so sorry," she had said.
