Teddy Riley's eight children sent him loving messages of support before his highly-anticipated Instagram battle against Babyface.
Teddy Riley and Babyface were back at it with their rap battles, but this time, they decided to do it through Instagram amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Before it happened, his proud kids decided to give him a token of appreciation by sharing a sweet gift.
While it was scheduled to happen weeks ago, it was postponed due to some unforeseen circumstances. It was later on revealed that Babyface had been feeling "sick" so they decided to push back the scheduled battle.
THE POSTPONEMENT OF THEIR ORIGINAL BATTLE
Before Babyface announced that he and his family tested positive for COVID-19, Riley was assumed to be the reason why their battle was postponed. Fans slammed him for this, but he remained silent through it all.
It was only when Babyface announced the diagnosis himself that he spoke out, saying:
"I appreciate you knowing the truth. I was just trying to protect my brother from disclosing what is going on with him. Can't wait for you all to see this show happen. I don't mind taking the fall [for] what is saving our people."
A TIGHT-KNIT FAMILY
Teddy's children have been with him through thick and thin, and remain to be his top supporters. Back in 2019, they were all present when he was presented with his very own Hollywood Walk of Fame star.
Nia revealed she is happy that her sweet daughter finally gets to see why her grandfather is considered one of music's greats.

While Riley isn't as vocal as he was back in his prime, he is now known as the father of Nia Riley, who appeared on "Love & Hip Hop Hollywood." Nia is a proud mom to her daughter, Kamryn.

They made sure to appear on the sweet video gesture created by Teddy's children, it was there that Nia revealed she is happy that her sweet daughter finally gets to see why her grandfather is considered one of music's greats.
