Heather Rae Young has been basking in the news of her recent engagement with fellow star Tarek El Moussa, and in a chat with Jessica Hall on the "Flashbacks" podcast, she happily talked about how it all happened.
Although Moussa's proposal was a splendid affair, Heather made it known that she already got hints because she and Tarek talked about marriage.

HEATHER ON HER MAGICAL ENGAGEMENT
"I knew it was gonna come eventually...We looked at rings like three months in. Nothing serious, but we went and looked…"
Heather detailed the events of the heart-melting proposal, which started with a lovely couple's getaway on El Moussa's boat in Catalina Island. It was the duo's first anniversary, and the actress added that she did not think he was going to propose at the time.
HEATHER AND TAREK'S DREAM WEDDING
Before Tarek popped the question, he paid a quick visit to Heather's parents' home.
Young affirmed the food had to be "amazing." Being a vegan, she talked about providing vegan delicacies while El Moussa's desired steaks would not be left out. Concerning the date, Young relayed that the chosen date will depend on COVID-19, although they were working towards the next year.
THEIR LOVE TIMELINE
El Moussa and Young first bonded over their love for boats, but at the time, she was in a relationship. They were later romantically linked after photos of them kissing on Redondo Beach emerged.
El Moussa later introduced Heather to his kids, Braydon and Taylor. On social media, the star dad confirmed that his kids approved of her.
Before El Moussa popped the question, he paid a quick visit to Heather's parents' home, where he asked for their blessings.
